A fibre composite is a composite material, a multiphase or mixed material that generally consists of two main components: the reinforcing fibres and a bedding "matrix" (the filler and adhesive between the fibres). Mutual interactions between the two components give the overall material higher-quality properties than either of the two components involved alone.
